Finally got a good high-quality photo of this one. I included the edges of the frame as much as possible because this canvas is weathered and worn- notice the fraying on the top left and bottom right. you can't see them, but the staples on the sides have left rust marks on the canvas. I bring this up because I feel it's important for the piece. deconstruction baby, yeah. I like the staples.
Technically, the title of this is "One Last Fuck/The Forest Fire", and this is acrylic on canvas. Was doing some emotional venting with paint november '02, and this is what came of it. complete subconsicous expression here, titled after the fact (much after.. better than calling it 'the red one').
What's with the title? Read up on how forest fires are used to clear the dead growth in a forest to keep it healthy, apply that to a relationship, and you'll get the idea.
smokey the bear says: only you can prevent forest fires.
very...VERY...emotional piece.
red is generally a color notioned with anger or love.
so the split in the title is wondeful...since ending a relationship that was based on love can cause alot of anger.
and of course the signifigance that fire is red and orange.
splendid splatters....the scanner lines suck...but the painting is incredible enough to allow the viewer to see past them.
I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
